WELCOME TO GOD'S JEWELS BEHIND BARS!!!

BARBED WIRE.
Steel bars and heavy metal doors.
Guard towers with armed officers.
Criminals.
This is prison!
•Society says, “Lock them up and throw away the key.”
•Politicians say, “We need to build more prisons.”
•Statistics say, “80% of inmates return to prison after release--we are wasting our time to try to rehabilitate them.”

But Jesus says, “I was in prison, and you came to me.”
The prison system is the only "business" that succeeds by its failure. Prison populations grow larger and larger. Often, people come out of prison worse than when they went in. Many commit more crimes, return to prison, and get stuck in the cycle of recidivism, the "revolving door" of crime, prison, and release.

The answer to this is not more prisons. It is not locking people up and “throwing away the key.” It is not even the death penalty, as studies have shown that even this does not effectively deter crime. The answer is the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the demonstration of power!

Prisoners need regeneration not rehabilitation--and Jesus has commissioned His followers to reach beyond the barbed wire fences and steel bars to touch the lives of men and women bound by the shackles of sin.

Sin entered the human race in the Garden of Eden. The story of Adam and Eve is one of the best-known stories in all of scripture. It is referred to as the Fall of Man. As a result of Adam’s sin, we inherited a sin nature, meaning that sin is not just what we do. It is our very nature.

Have you ever done anything you could have gone to jail for but didn't? Think before you judge.

A Tribute To Our Son, Armand Charles Macy (Nov. 3, 1979 - June 8, 2009).

WASTED TIME
By: Armand C. Macy

The time that I’ve missed is my biggest regret,
spent in these places I won’t soon forget.

Just sitting and thinking about the things I’ve done,
the crying, the laughing, the hurt and the fun.

Now it’s just me and my driven guilt;
behind a wall of emptiness I’ve allowed to be built.

I’m trapped in this body just wanting to run,
back to my youth with its laughter and fun.

But the chance is over and there’s no place to hide,
everything gone even my pride.

With reality suddenly right in my face,
I’m scared alone and stuck in this place.

Now memories of the past flash through my head
and the pain is obvious by the tears that I’ve shed.

I ask myself why and where I went wrong,
I guess I was weak when I should have been strong.

Living for the drugs and the wings I had grown
my feelings were lost afraid to be shown.

As I look at my past it’s easy to see,
the fear that I had afraid to be me.

I’d pretend to be rugged so fast and so cool
when actually I was lost like an old blinded fool.

I’m getting too old for this tiresome game,
of acting real hard with no sense of shame.

It’s time that I change and get on with my life,
fulfilling my dreams of a family and wife.

What my future will hold I really don’t know,
but the years I’ve wasted are starting to show.

I just live for the day I’ll get a new start
for the dreams I still hold deep in my heart.

I hope I can make it, at least have to try
because I am headed for death and I don’t want to die.

Never Forgotten Prison Ministry (God's Jewels Behind Bars) is not a church but a nondenominational, nationwide Christian prison ministry.
We take the Bible literally as what it is, the inspired Word of God. It is our firm belief that even the most hardened of criminals, or troubled youth offenders, can be touched and changed forever by the power and love of our, Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
